Integrative Nutritionist

Hey y'all! Alexa Poole, an Ohio born, but (adopted) Louisiana native, has a loving husband, two kids, and a pup. She's family oriented with a long-lived love for helping people. With her degree in Nutrition Education and further training and certifications in Mindful Movement and Health Coaching through Institute of Integrative Nutrition and NASM, Alexa counsels her community on improving their lives and their diets. By creating a completely personalized "roadmap to health" that suits their unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals, individuals are able to get back to living a weight less life, while finding balance over burnout in every area of life.

As a coach and educator, She has taken her passion for food balance and active living, and created programs that jump start her clients to live a healthier, more fulfilled life. Alexa helps her clients gain more energy, make better food & lifestyle choices, reduce stress & anxiety, learn to love & prioritize themselves (speaking to you moms/dads/entrepreneurs!), and enhance overall health and well-being.

 

As a Nutritionist and Coach, Alexa received her education at Southeastern Louisiana University, NASM, Moved to Meditate, and Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City--studying under health experts such as Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Andrew Weil, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Frank Lipman, Gabby Bernstein, Dr. Oz, Geneen Roth and many more.

 

Alexa has spent close to 20 years learning and applying life tools to healthily work through her past of sexual assault, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, as well as anxiety and depression. Along the way, she discovered her deep rooted purpose of empowering her community changing attitudes and beliefs in order to live life more joyfully and peacefully through nutrition and lifestyle changes. Her success with her clients has shown immensely when it comes to physical, emotional, and mental wellness. Alexa's love for people shows in her work as a Health Coach with the Council on Aging of St. Tammany spreading joy and counseling clients on simply adding life to their years. Along with earning a Certificate of Excellence from Healthier Northshore for her continued efforts to positively impact health outcomes on the Northshore.

What to Expect When Working With Me:

My style of coaching is to implement small, simple changes that are low stress and manageable. I create a safe space to feel supported and heard, while providing necessary resources in order to reach your goals and make good decisions for your health.

​

Know this--this is your journey. I cannot do the work for you, only you can. I am here to guide you and support you on your journey. Getting well means getting out of your comfort zone. Discomfort is difficult, but SO worth it! 

​

Also, listen to your body. Through my guidance and suggestions, you will learn to listen to your body and become more mindful of what nourishes you--what allows your mind & body to thrive. 

​

Commit to yourself, incorporate good quality whole food changes and lifestyle habits, and you will see AND feel results.
